STILLWATER, Okla. — Members of the Oklahoma State University College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Student Council attracted a record number of students Aug. 24 in Wes Watkins Center.
CASNR Round Up is hosted by members of the CASNR Student Council every year during the second week of classes. This event highlights more than 60 CASNR organizations, clubs and teams available for students to join. Round Up gives CASNR students an opportunity to experience involvement opportunities within their majors and the college.
It also gives students an opportunity to meet club officers, student leaders, faculty and alumni, said Morgan Vance, CASNR Student Council student affairs vice president and an agricultural communications junior.
“I am a little biased, but I am so proud to be a part of a college that has such a special close-knit relationship,” Vance said.
Competitive teams such as OSU’s rodeo team and livestock and horse judging teams were displayed to the students. Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, Pre-Vet Club, Aggie- X and Collegiate Farm Bureau were just a few of the 60 organizations showcased at Round Up.
CASNR is a department at Oklahoma State University with 16 majors and 62 options under the umbrella of agriculture. CASNR works to build close relationships and encourage involvement among its students.
